The Challenge

Finding the right caregiver is overwhelming. Here's what families face — and how we solve it.

Agency Overload

Calling 10+ agencies, getting inconsistent information, and not knowing which to trust wastes days you don't have. Our single portal searches across all 300+ AEAS member agencies simultaneously — standardised biodata, one registration.

Trust & Verification

Unlicensed brokers and unverified biodata put your family at risk. Every agency on our portal is MOM-licensed, and our AEAS membership standard requires standardised biodata, verified by the placing agency.

Urgent Care Needs

Post-hospital discharge can't wait weeks. Our Advance Placement Scheme (APS) lists caregivers already in Singapore, ready to start within 3–5 days — no lengthy overseas processing required.

Specialist Matching

Not every caregiver can handle dementia, tube feeding, or infant care. Our search filters let you find caregivers with specific specialist training, nationalities, dialects, and dietary compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a transfer and a new (overseas) caregiver?

A transfer caregiver is already in Singapore on a valid work permit, completing their current employment. They can start in 3–5 days and you can interview them face-to-face. A new overseas caregiver requires 2–4 weeks for overseas processing, medical checks, and travel — but may offer a wider choice of profiles.

Who qualifies for the concessionary FDW levy of $60/month?

You qualify for the concessionary levy ($60/month instead of $300/month) if you are caring for a Singapore citizen who is: (a) a child below 16, (b) a parent or grandparent aged 67 or above, or (c) a person with a disability. MOM approval is required before the lower rate applies.

How does the Home Caregiving Grant (HCG) work?

The HCG offsets the cost of engaging an FDW (foreign domestic worker) to care for a frail family member at home. From April 2026, the grant provides $200–$600/month depending on your household Per Capita Income (PCHI). Apply via the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) website.

Why use MyCaregiver.sg instead of going directly to a single agency?

A single agency shows you only their available caregivers. MyCaregiver.sg gives you access to profiles across all 300+ AEAS member agencies — more choice, standardised biodata, and the protection of AEAS membership: mandatory 50% refund policy, independent dispute resolution via IIM, and all agencies MOM-licensed.

What if I am unhappy with my agency's service?

Because all agencies on our portal are AEAS members, you can escalate complaints to AEAS and to the Independent Industry Mediation (IIM) service — an impartial body that handles disputes between employers and agencies. This protection is unavailable when dealing with non-AEAS agencies.

Can I filter caregivers by dialect or language?

Yes. Our search allows filtering by spoken language and dialect (Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Tamil, and others). This is especially useful for elderly care recipients who communicate primarily in a specific dialect. Language and cultural compatibility are key factors in successful placements.
